Welcome to Mark Coombs Photography

Hello and welcome to my website. My main photographic passion is the natural landscape and seascapes. For me seeing and being amongst the hills, forests, rivers and on the coast etc. is a very spiritual thing. I find sitting on top of a hill or cliff looking out into the vastness around me very moving and I like to capture these scenes on film so I can share them with others and to remind myself of the emotion I felt for that small moment of time.

After travelling throughout the UK & overseas with the Royal Air Force for 25 years I have returned to my home county of Devon, England where I have the whole of the beautiful and stunning scenery of the South West of England to explore, discover and photograph. I'm home and it feels good.

Whatever I photograph I always try and look for that little something extra, an unusual angle, light or subject, something that will lift an image above the ordinary. I don’t always achieve it but its something I like to pursue. I’m very much still learning the basics of photography but each roll of film developed provides another little bit of knowledge.
